2.5.2 Determine whether the taker succeeded her contract

The taker succeeded her contract if she has enough points for the number of oudlers, see table Table 2.6.

Subtract the number of points to reach. If the total is negative, the contract is failed, subtract another 25. If the total is positive, add another 25.

Round the total further down in the negative values if the contract is failed, up if it is succeeded.

If the petit has been taken in the last trick, or the owner of the petit has taken all tricks, played the petit in the penultimate trick and played the excuse in the last trick, then the petit is $1 and a bonus or a malus applies.

If the taker’s team took the petit au bout, add +10. If the defense’s team took the petit au bout, subtract 10.
